The Court denied Defendants’ motion for judgment as a matter of law or a new trial, finding sufficient evidence to support the jury’s verdict on USI’s claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference (Pickett v. Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc., 420 F.3d 1272, 1278 (11th Cir. 2005)). The Court also denied USI’s motion for a new trial on damages or to amend the judgment, concluding that the jury’s award was supported by substantial evidence and that additional equitable relief would result in a windfall for USI (W.W. Gay Mech. Contractor, Inc. v. Wharfside Two, Ltd., 545 So. 2d 1348, 1350-51 (Fla. 1989)).
